Update I can't believe the M310 mouse which Logitech replaced in Jan/2017 started to exhibit the same issue - I get multiple clicks effect when I do a single. I have reported this problem to Logitech and their response has been extremely slow in setting up the process for my warranty claim.I've always used Logitech products for mouse and keyboard. I have described my fault isolation steps above to let them know that it is 100% a problem with the left mouse button on the 3-month old M310. I then backed up everything and proceeded to format the hard drive completely and reinstalled windows after running a chkdsk on. Activity was always in the kb/s but always at 100% with around 32000 ms response time.
